That was me this weekend. I accomplished SO much using my… sewing machine. First I finished the next blocks in the Farm Girl Vintage sew along. Aren’t those mixing bowls adorable? The Butter Churn block called for a Flying Geese method that I have never seen before, but I have to say it was effective. I’ve never made Flying Geese blocks that aligned so well.
Somewhere along the way I signed up for another Instagram Swap. This one is a Bonnie and Camille swap where we make 2 blocks a month for 8 months out of Bonnie and Camille fabric. In an effort to challenge myself I want to make different blocks each month. The first block I made is called May Flowers. I think I love this block and there is even a set-in seam in there. I’ve never really attempted a set-in seam but I have to say it was pretty simple as far as this block goes.
Lastly I resurrected my Quilty Fun book and completed a row this weekend. The apples are so cute. I have 3 other rows already done, so this felt like big process. I plan to give this one to my Mom when it’s done and she prefers the muted colors. It felt good to make all this progress over the weekend, of course the rain showers made it easy to stay indoors. Sorry about the photos, grey skies don’t allow for pretty photos.
