Mini Design Board…

Have you seen the mini design boards that Lori Holt from Bee In My Bonnet uses? I always admired them but I never thought I had a use for them. As it turns out, I have a project coming up where I thought the mini design board would be useful so I quickly put one together. I had some left over binding fabric that I used that was cut to 2 1/2″ which is what Lori’s directions call for.

Just a little teaser about something exciting coming up in early September!!! Aren’t those colors amazing?

I love her boards. I make mine with flannel instead of batting. I have a small stack in various sizes from 10×10 to a giant one I made by taping the seams on a foam tri-fold presentation board. I am setting up a complicated block on a 20×20 right now. I like that stack of color!

I’ve just written a tutorial for a mini design board that I made last year and now I have happened upon you post too! Mine is a bit more substantial than Lori’s but it still light-weight and it suits my purposes!
