Sunday Stash…

IMG_3184

It’s the end of September and it is still really HOT here in the Denver area. I’m in the mood for crisp days, sweaters, crunchy leaves and pumpkins and I’m wearing shorts and cranking up the air conditioner. I plan to spend the afternoon and evening sewing with football on in the background. Go Broncos!!!

Before I settle down to sew I had to run to the grocery store. I really dislike grocery shopping. So to reward myself for being brave enough to go I decided to visit my local quilt shop (LQS). My LQS is .25 miles from my home. 1/4 mile. I drive by it EVERY single day. Somehow, I build up the strength to not go in very often. But today I decided to.

Today I picked up one yard of green on white Essential Dots from Moda. This is going to be the background fabric for a Christmas swap I am starting work on today. I also purchased a 4 1/2″ square ruler, Slowly I’m acquiring these in all sizes. I also picked up the following fat quarters from left to right…

  • Pink – 30’s Playtime by Chloe’s Closet  from Moda
  • Red – I have no idea, I’m a bad quilter
  • Orange – Floursack by Whistler Studios from Windham Fabrics
  • Yellow – Madrona Road by violet craft for Michael Miller
  • Blue – 30’s Playtime by Chloe’s Closet from Moda

  • Grey – Again, I have no idea. I tried using the Image Search on Google with no luck

  1. Lovely fabrics. I can walk to my local quilt shop in less than 10 minutes from my home. It’s .6 kilometres away. I can also walk there in less than 10 minutes from my work along a different route. I try not to think about it.
