I finally finished the SiAS blocks for the September Midnight Mystery quilt along. When I first received the directions and Cheryl used the acronym SiAS I had no idea what she was talking about as I had never heard that term. But I quickly learned that she was referring to our old friend the square in a square block. I used my technique of folding the center square in half in both directions to line up the outer triangles. You can see that method in this tutorial for my Mountains All Around Block. The blocks trimmed up to 6 1/2″ with no fuss.
