Straight as an arrow…

As you know, I’ve been working on several swaps lately. This week I was able to finish the projects for the Schnitzel and Boo swap that I signed up for on Instagram. I can’t show you what I made for that swap, you’re going to have to wait until I can reveal the photos in November. But I can tease you a little. Several years ago I went through this phase where I doodled arrows on my notepads when I was in meetings at work so knew when I saw these arrows here  that I would be making them eventually.  I decided this swap would be the perfect place to try them  out. As it turns out, the arrows are pretty simple so while I was putting together the mini for the swap, I thought I’d make an arrow for myself. This piece turned out to be about 6″ x 21″.  I’m really pleased with how it turned out. And look, I picked up some cute, decorative clothespins!

Very cool piecing! You hit a bullseye with your directional SLQ. I love how it makes the arrow appear to be in flight. Sweet!
