Well my last post jumped the gun… Mother Nature had something to say this weekend. It started raining Friday night, turned to snow around 3 am Saturday morning and it’s been snowing ever since. It makes for pretty pictures but the dog wants no part of it, she’s been hiding under the bed since Saturday.

I’ve been taking advantage of the inside time and doing some cooking and sewing, and listening to Merle Haggard and John Denver on the stereo. I found the Breakfast Crescent Ring on Pinterest, the recipe is here. It was very easy and turned out pretty well, and yummy!!!

I also sewed the April Block for Stash Bee 2016. Tori requested 15 1/2″ Rainbow Star Blocks in any colors we wanted. You can find her tutorial here. I had planned to do orange or yellow thinking that she probably wouldn’t get a lot of those. It turned out that this fun block provided a ray of sunshine on a dreary weekend.

  1. This post is making me nervous. We’ve finally gotten some nice sunny warm weather here. I hope no more snow is coming our way. Your bee block is so beautiful and sunny. It will make a great addition to the quilt.
