On Sunday, I spent the day with my friend Jennifer and we worked on cutting our fabric for the Meadow Mystery Quilt Along. I’m really happy that Jen has decided to take part in this quilt along as we haven’t worked on a project together in a long time. Jen and I have been buddies for about 20 years having worked for the same company and connecting on the fact that we were both into quilting. Typical story, life gets in the way and we don’t get together enough. So it was fun to spend the day with her cutting fabric. My fabric is a different palette than what I normally go for with really soft, soothing colors. The fabric is Paperie by Amy Sinibaldi for Art Gallery Fabrics. It’s beautiful fabric.
While Jen and I were hanging out I asked her if I could include her fabrics and progress in my blog and she agreed. I’m really excited about her fabric selections as well. I’m not sure what the fabrics are as Jen pulled most of the fabrics from her stash. Also, she’s going for a scrappy look with fabrics B (top right hand corner) and C (bottom left hand corner). I think her quilt is going to be stunning.
Of course since we were quilting, I had to make some yummy snacks. These were Paleo, coconut and dark chocolate magic bars and they are AMAZING. Never mind the price tag thingy, that is still on the base of the cake plate. I’ve had this cake plate since last Christmas and just realized that it’s still on there. Oh well.
