Snowflakes On A Sunny Day…

Paper Piecing is one of those things you either love or hate. I honestly don’t love it. It’s not because I find it difficult, I don’t have a problem doing it. This time around I figured out why I don’t love it. Machine piecing usually comes really simple to me and I get lost in the rhythm of it. But with paper piecing I have to pay attention to every single step and check, re-check and re-check. Meh.

For this mini, paper piecing was necessary because I wanted a real 6 point snowflake instead of an 8 point star pretending to be a snowflake. I found a wonderful pattern at Craftsy that totally helped me out. The recipient of this mini requested batiks. This mini measures 15″ x 24″.
