MQG Swap Reveal…

I am SO excited because today I get to reveal to you my finished mini quilt that I made for my partner for the Modern Quilt Guild swap. For the last couple months I have teased you with pictures here and there of what I have been working on.

Before I share the finish with you I thought I’d give you a little information about my inspiration for this project. First, my partner stated that she really liked purple and green so I wanted to incorporate these colors into the mini. I chose the Succulence line from Bonnie Christine at Art Gallery Fabrics. These fabrics are GORGEOUS and I am in love with them.

Second, my partner mentioned that she really liked Kate Spain. I have long admired the Cuzco quilt from Kate Spain. So I had the idea to shrink down this quilt to a 24″ x 24″ quilt. Finally, here is the quilt I made for my partner…

Every piece in this quilt is 1 1/2″ wide. I call this quilt Cuzco’s Little Cousin. I opted for simple, straight line quilting. I might be a little obsessed with this quilt, I absolutely LOVE everything about it. I hope my partner is as pleased as I am.
