Quilty Fun…

SEVERAL years ago, I started working on the Quilty Fun quilt by Lori Holt. Of course I didn’t keep up. But I’ve always meant to go back to it. So this past weekend I pulled it out of the archives and made a row of these cute, little, teeny flying geese.

Instead of bright fabrics, I am using a fat quarter bundle from Connecting Threads that my friend Jen gifted me YEARS ago. Previously I had completed these cute apples. The background fabric for this quilt is a solid cream. I don’t remember who it is from.

I attached the cute, little, teeny flying geese strip to the apple strip. I really like this choice of fabric for this quilt as it evokes the feeling of autumn. Which we all know I love.

I had previously made these sweet, butterflies as well. Aren’t they cute?

I attached the strip of butterflies to the patchwork strip that I had already made.

I had also previously made this strip of Chevrons but I have nothing to attach them to yet. I plan to keep working on this quilt until I get it done.

I love the apples with the flying geese, they work beautifully together. Are you going to add the butterfly’s and chevron’s to them?

There’s certainly reward for persistence 😊 so keep at it. These are beautiful.

Ah, I love these warm, autumnal colors. Keep chipping away at this one. It is going to be worth it.
