So it snowed all weekend. Which is pretty common for Colorado in April. It wasn’t a terrible storm, just a lot of heavy, wet snow that accumulated on the grass but just made the streets wet. Nonetheless, I took advantage of the less than desirable weather to do some sewing. First, I finished up the pillow that I started using the deer blanket that was the very first piece of stitchery that I ever did when I was about 6 or 7 years old. I had some white crocheted binding tape that I added for a sweet touch to the edges of the pillow.
I also finished up the April blocks for the 2017 Patchwork Quilt Along hosted by Fat Quarter Shop. These blocks are 5″ finished so they were really a little fussy to put together because most pieces are 1″ square finished. But I am still loving my choice of the Sweetwater Christmas fabrics.
Don’t forget, the Blog Tour for the Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Vol. 15 starts today. Be sure to visit Quiltmaker’s blog throughout the week for giveaways. My day on the blog tour is Friday, May 5. Be sure to stop by because I will offer a chance to win your own copy of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Vol. 15.
