Oh Baby! IBA Progress…

I’ve been working on the baby quilt for the Island Batik Ambassadors July Challenge. I’ve actually made some good progress. There s quite a few photos here so  I tried to condense them for you

Working on this quilt has been a really fun exercise in dealing with color. Each of the blocks started with the same yellow or the same green. From there, the fabrics are all different. I was partly tied to what I had in my Island Batik bin, but luckily, there was a rainbow of color in there.

. The slightly OCD person in me really wanted to use the same fabrics in the warm colors and the cool colors but I gave up on that. It became a challenge because I did have to work within the fabric available in my Island Batik bin. Even though the fabrics are all different, I’m pleased with how things are progressing. These blocks really show off the Island Batik fabrics nicely.
