Jolly Bar Jazz Quilt…

Yay!!! Today is the reveal of the Jolly Bar Jazz Quilt Along hosted by Fat Quarter Shop. If you follow me on Instagram, you have seen me teasing little peeks of the progress of my Jolly Bar Jazz Quilt the last few weeks.

For my Jolly Bar Jazz Quilt I used Summerfest Fabric by April Rosenthal for Moda. I love the bright, cheery fabrics that are typical of April’s fabrics.

I used my usual wavy lines to quilt this quilt. I actually did all the quilting on my domestic machine, which was quite a feat as this quilt finishes at 65″ x 84″. It’s a great size.

I chose a pretty low volume fabric from Summerfest for the backing fabric and a coral and white fabric for the binding.

You can download the Jolly Bar Jazz Quilt pattern for free at Fat Quarter Shop’s website. The pattern requires 2 Jolly Bars which is a precut that is Exclusive to Fat Quarter Shop.

The Jolly Bar Jazz Quilt pattern calls for a real scrappy look but I decided to sort my fabrics for a more “matchy” look. I had so much fun making this quilt.

  1. I love that you went for a more matchy look than the scrappy look. Your quilt looks fabulous!!!

  2. I love your take on the Jolly Bar Jazz quilt. So much so, that I had to buy the same fabric to give it a try.
