Yay!!! I hope you have enjoyed the Christmas in July Blog Hop. It’s my turn in the Christmas in July Blog Hop. But first be sure to visit our host, Carol’s Blog, Just Let Me Quilt. OK, now I’m so excited to share my original project with you.
I knew that I wanted to use Lori Holt fabrics that were in my stash. Some of the fabrics I used are from her Cozy Christmas Collection and others are from other collections by Lori Holt. I used Vintage Holiday Silver Metallic Swiss Dot from Bonnie & Camillefor the background fabric.
I also knew that I wanted to make something that could be a wall hanging or a table topper. So I came up with the idea of a Christmas Wreath. The flower blocks remind me of the buds on a Christmas Cactus. I like that Sawtooth Star that comes alive in the center of the quilt.
The backing fabric is also from Lori Holt’s Cozy Christmas line. For the quilting I did this cute little scallop on the diagonal across the entire quilt. It reminds me of garland on a Christmas tree and I really like the texture it created.
I have more ideas for this quilt so I think I’m going to write up a pattern for this one. I hope you enjoyed my project. Thanks for visiting today and be sure to visit the other bloggers so you can see their projects!
