Lady of the Lake…

IMG_6946_editedSo, I’ve been sitting on a pile of quilts that need binding for SEVERAL months. I just was not feeling it. Probably because it was so warm. But now that things have cooled off, I was able to finish the binding on my Lady of the Lake quilt.

I made the Lady of the Lake quilt top as part of a quilt along hosted by Fat Quarter Shop in September of 2017. Shame on me, I was really slacking on this one.

For this quilt I used Arbor Blossom from Eliis & Higgs for Riley Blake. I love this fabric. I especially love the yellow print I used for the backing. This one reminds me of my childhood, yellow was my favorite color when I was a young girl.

‘It was a warm, autumn day last weekend when I took these photos at my parent’s house. They’re yard is a pretty backdrop for any quilt.

IMG_6956_editedI couldn’t help laying the quilt out over the leaves that were blanketing the grass.

IMG_6960_editedBut all those leaves! After the photo shoot with the Lady of the Lake quilt I raked up all those leaves because I’m a good daughter.

IMG_6964_editedI’m pretty sure I will have more leaves to rake next weekend.
