Vintage Christmas Catch Up…

As you probably know, I started my very own Vintage Christmas Quilt Along at the beginning of the year because I missed the Quilt Along hosted by Lori Holt last year. One big difference with my Quilt Along is I’m making 12″ blocks and I’m not doing all of them. I thought I’d take this post to do a little recap of where I’m at.

IMG_7036The Away In A Manger block was where I started. I really love the sweetness of this block.

Next up, these three cuties. If you’re familiar with the Vintage Christmas book, you’ll know that I’m making the Christmas Eve Quilt. This pattern calls for some of the blocks to have a pink background rather than the standard white background. That is why the candles have a pink background.

Moving right along with the next three blocks. I made two tree blocks because I’m going to use the second one for another project later. I love the little Gingerbread House so much. It was a lot of fun to put that one together.

The Bell and the Little White Chapel are the most current blocks that I’ve made. I’m not quite halfway done with making blocks for this quilt. But I sure am enjoying making them. Stay tuned more blocks to come in the coming weeks!

  1. Buy the book! It is one of the best books I have ever purchased. There are the adorable Christmas blocks and then lots of examples of non Christmas quilts as well.
