It’s Friday, actually it’s Black Friday! Are you one of those people that gets up super early to find an AMAZING deal at the stores? I am not one of those people. I can honestly say I have never entered a store the day after Thanksgiving. I’d rather spend the day at home, or outside or sewing. This year it’s going to be a sewing day because we got hit by a snowstorm early in the week and we’re supposed to get more snow today. A little cabin fever for everyone!
This cute, little 6″ block takes me right to summer, which I wouldn’t mind right now. I love watermelon in the summertime. I love how the hint of pink and white in the fabric for the inner rind of the melon slice oozes into the green fabric for the rind.
I also made the Corn and Tomatoes block. I made this one in the 12″ size. Sometimes when I make these Bee in my Bonnet blocks I’m telling myself what a genius Lori Holt is for figuring these things out so perfectly. Because the stem and leaves on those tomatoes are laid out perfectly. Thanks for stopping by!
