Show Me Something Purple…

Have you seen this great idea? Sarah at Sarah Goer Quilts is hosting a monthly meet up this year, called Show Me Something… This month the them is Purple! Of course, purple is Sarah’s favorite color but as you may know from hanging out here, purple is not my favorite color. So here is what I came up with.

This pretty block is a block that I made for my Gypsy Wife quilt. While I was looking for the link for my Gypsy Wife quilt, I realized I never did an official post for the finished quilt. You can see a photo of the finished quilt here, but you have to scroll down a bit.

I had a lot of fun making this star quilt as it taught me a lot about how to make color work. You can find more info here. I made this as a baby quilt for my friend Kendra but she liked it so much she decided that she wanted to hang it up in her master bedroom. I’m glad she’s enjoying it.

The last purple share I have is this quilt block that I designed for Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Volume 15. I called the block Mountains and Plains.

Purple was a tough one for me. I am going to link up with Sarah Goer Quilts.

I Love your star quilt! What is the name of that pattern, or did you work it up yourself?
