Today I am sharing my Classic and Vintage Carolina Lily block from Fat Quarter Shop. I love the sew alongs that are hosted by Fat Quarter Shop. They always have the most interesting quilts with the most understandable instructions.
For my block, I used Blakes for the main flower and Avery Row for the stems; both fabrics are from the Mayfair fabric line, the latest line from Amy Sinibaldi. I used a really soft gray solid for the background fabric. The stems were really simple to make, I used a bias tape making tool and machine stitched the stems to the finished block. I love how this turned out. Please go to Fat Quarter Shop’s blog the Jolly Jabberfor more inspiration and information on this pretty block.
