I think green is the perfect color for May. After all, this is the time of year that trees are leafing out, grass is turning green, flowers and shrubs are starting to bloom.
Green is a secondary color that is the result of mixing blue and yellow. Green tends to represent things in nature and the environment, but green also represents money! The word green comes from an Anglo-Saxan word, grene… meaning “grass” and “grow”.
The green that I chose for this month’s block is truly green. It reminds me of all things that are leafy and grow outdoors.
